Everyone needs to clean out desks, drawers, closets, corners, etc. Be ruthless. Recycle. Think happy thoughts.
Elsewhere, the management team will be working on the TLC and Support Center layout. Contractors will finish building out and Ela Area Library will give us like-new shelving and desks for the temporary facilities. Continue to think happy thoughts.
May 15
We officially have "possession" of the TLC and Support Center.
May 15- June 19
The moving begins! Temporary shelving, phone and data lines will be installed and "in-processing" and non-essential items will be moved to the TLC.
Friday, June 19
At 6 p.m., the Cook Park Library as we know it will officially close. Servers, computer equipment and phones will be moved to the Support Center. Materials will be prepared to move.
Saturday, June 20 & Sunday, June 21
CMPLD facilities will be closed for the weekend. Scheduled staff will report to work at TLC, where materials will be moved during the morning hours. The rest of the day will be spent preparing the TLC to open on Monday.

Fingers crossed, all technology will be working. Evergreen will open at 10 a.m. and the TLC will open at Noon. Now, staff at Cook will focus on moving remaining items to the Support Center.

What does "contractors will finish building out" mean?
ReplyDeleteGreat question. The contracters are adding bathrooms and a few other essentials to the temporary space. The construction work is minor and will be completed before we move in.
